About Oceans with Mr. O.

Oceans with Mr. O is an idea sparked from the mind of San Diego native, Josh Osias. He was spent his life exploring the wonderful outdoor places in Southern California. His professional experience is in outdoor guiding and eduction with local San Diego organizations such as: San Diego River Park Foundation, Positive Adventures, Outdoor Outreach, the Elementary Institute of Science, and Seacamp San Diego. He quotes that, "it has been a pleasure seeing youth gain an appreciation for the outdoors through various activities." He has watched and guided students in rock climbing to snowboarding, and surfing to snorkeling. One of his major passions is connecting people to the inherent value of the outdoors.

The environment becomes even more magical when you start to understand all the natural wonders that are at play together. Mr. Osias have a background in science getting a B.S in Environmental Biology and Management and minor in Oceanography from UC Davis. He strives to bring fun and science into outdoor activities. In fact, he even earned a  nickname of “nature nerd’ because he is always dropping "Nature Nuggets" out in the field on adventures with participants, clients, and even friends. Mr. Osias is a certified SCUBA diver, Wilderness First Responder, and Leave No Trace Master Educator.
